Weapons

The shipment and sale of weapons is closely monitored in the Final Empire in order to both keep weapons out of the hands of Skaa thieves and rebels, and to keep Nobles from amassing large armies and rebelling themselves. However Nobles are allowed to carry weapons on their person (most tend towards swords or dueling canes), and have armed guards when travelling or at their personal estate. Skaa can use simpler, easier to conceal weapons like daggers and clubs without much fear of detection.

Weapons increase damage and many allow attacks at Range as well.

Armor & Shields

Armor is rare outside noble house guards and the Lord Ruler’s armies, and even among them it’s often shunned for the advantages it affords Allomancers. Still, there’s no discounting the benefits of a strong layer of protection and a sturdy shield.
